Checking the current release…

Install

  1. Unzip it somewhere permanent. You get a rundawn/ folder.
  2. In Companion: Settings → Advanced → Developer modules path — point it at the folder containing rundawn/, not at rundawn/ itself.
  3. Restart Companion, add a RundAwn connection, and enter the room code.

One zip for macOS and Windows alike — the bundle is pure JavaScript on the node22 runtime Companion ships, with no native code.

Configuration

Room code The show's eight-character code — the same one every viewer surface uses. Open the show and press ⌘K → Share show room to provision one. Dashes and spaces are optional.
Server URL Leave at https://rundawn.thast.live/live unless you have been given a different address.
Correct clock against the show timebase On by default. Fetches the shared wall clock so the countdown matches the gallery to within tens of milliseconds. Disable only on an air-gapped network.

Why it is served from here

The module speaks the room command vocabulary of the server it connects to, so the copy you install has to be the copy that matches the server you are pointing it at. Serving the download from the application — rather than from a release page that ages on its own — makes the two the same thing by construction.
